Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate 2024
93 /100 | VIGNA AU Chardonnay Riserva 2018
The Tiefenbrunner 2019 Alto Adige Chardonnay Riserva Vigna Au shows a rich golden hue and delivers thick-skinned peach or nectarine with toasted macadamia nut. This wine has a medium-rich texture that flows smoothly over the palate with bitter almond skin and a pretty flinty note.
93 /100 | LINTICLARUS Pinot Noir Riserva 2020
The 2020 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Linticlarus shows medium-soft ripeness with dark berry fruit, wild cherry and violet. The delicate and silky nature of the wine is very enjoyable and there is a hint of campfire smoke or charred spice on the close. Fruit is sourced from high-elevation sites, ranging from 450 to 800 meters above sea level. Some 7,000 bottles were made.
92 /100 | VIGNA RACHTL Sauvignon Blanc Riserva 2020
The 2020 Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc Riserva Rachtl reveals aromas of candied lemon peel, canned pineapple and a hint of ripe apricot. Medium-rich in texture with some hot-vintage heaviness, the wine also delivers a much-needed point of acidity, which is the saving grace in a more architecturally important and constructed wine such as this.
91 /100 | ANNA Pinot Blanc 2021
From a screw-cap bottle, the Tiefenbrunner 2021 Alto Adige Weissburgunder Pinot Blanc Anna has an oaked and open-knit quality with oxidative aromas of dried peach, smoke, kerosene and flint over a round, medium-weight mouthfeel. The wine ends on a dry note with good acidity.
