TOREN
This single vineyard is part of the selection VIGNA and is situated in the traditional terroir of Entiklar [Niclara], in the municipality of Kurtatsch [Cortaccia]. Nestled in a half-circle around the dilapidated fortress ruins of the Castrum Lincticlar, the vineyard is situated at an altitude of 300 to 320 meters, north of Entiklar. The extreme steep slope and the south-facing orientation create a very sunny, dry, and hot climate that is ideal for heat-loving grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon.

The foundation for uniqueness
The strongly clayey sandy soil is characterized by a high proportion of calcareous gravel, which allows for rapid warming of the soil due to the high sand content. This enables the stored daytime heat to be released to the grapevines at night, while the deep-reaching root system ensures excellent berry ripening regardless of the climate.
