Stubengüter (Bozen)
The small vineyard Stubengüter is situated in the district of Bozen [Bolzano], the capital of South Tyrol, near Schloss Maretsch. With vines over 90 years old, this vineyard produces Lagrein grapes of the highest concentration, with the classic leather-chocolate aromas typical of the region. The Lagrein grape variety is very labor-intensive and susceptible to fungal diseases. Therefore, continuous ventilation is particularly important, especially after rainfall. During the day, the Lagrein grapes are thoroughly dried by the Garda Lake wind Ora and in the evening by the cool fall winds from the Dolomites.

The foundation for uniqueness
The sandy soil consists of alluvial material from the Talfer river in Bolzano and quartz porphyry boulders. The loose, permeable soil quickly warms up in the sun and retains the heat.
